How Does Eating Late At Night Affect Weigt Loss?

I have a very late work out schedule and almost always have to eat my late night meal after work out around 12 midnight and later. I do keep in my target daily calorie goal, but does eating late make adverse effect on weight loss?

I am trying to lost 20lbs as fast as possible. Please advise if my late night eating will have negative effect on my weight loss plan. What is an optimal time to eat before going to bed?

    i was told a while back by a trainer to drink whey and casein at night .. my understanding is that the casein prolongs the metabolism of the whey so that the metabolism isnt low. i did that and i lost 80lbs. it wasnt the soul reason i lost that weight but i do believe that it was helpful for me because i didnt wake up hungry either

    Yep. Sometimes, I eat dinner at 10pm. 500-1000 calories. Then I go to bed. It hasn't hindered my weight loss at all.

    The only reason not to eat late at night is if it adversely affects your quality of sleep and/or makes your stomach upset.

    Hey there :-)))) I eat my main meal at 12.30am due to work commitments and i can honestly say it hasnt affected my weightloss in the slightest... in fact today im celebrating the fact that ive finally lost enough to be classed as being in the "healthy" range on the BMI chart :-)))

    Meal timing and frequency have no impact on metabolic rate or weight loss.

    Weight loss is about overall calories.
