    We were the Redskins, but with the advent of all things PC, they eventually changed it well after I graduated to the Mavericks. Our principal used to dress up as an Indian (ok, native American!) and beat a drum at pep rallies:)

    Truckee California...WOLVERINES thats right just like the movie "Red Dawn"

    the cool thing was my senior year we did a great "senior prank" we took the real stuffed wolverine from the trophy case. Truckee although a small town has an amazing football legacy. we are/were state champs even though we played against bigger schools and out of our league.....but i digress. We stole "Wally Wolverine" and drove him on a 1000 mile adventure to Hollywood. we took photos of him at all kinds of iconic places like the hollywood wax museum (who offer 500 dollars for him but we declined) and john travoltas star on hollywood blvd. etc...all these photos one day appeared in the trophy case behind "Wally" and it was a awesome prank. even the local newspaper showed our pics

    I went to a private Christian school and we were the Fighting Christians.

    A bunch of grapes. In fact the mascot costume was a bunch of cool whip containers, painted purple, and held together to look like a bunch of grapes. It was sad.

    I graduated as a Wolf but in the town where I was born, the high school mascot is the Beet Diggers...how cool is that?

    Warriors.

    Our mascot used to be a little cartoon character, skinny little Indian brave (sorry, Native American) wearing just a loincloth, moccasins and a single feather. I don't think we ever had a person in a costume. Nowadays the mascot symbol is a Native American chief with full headdress, in profile.
