Newlywed (sorta) looking to lose weight post wedding. :)

Hey all! I am a 27 year old female. I got married last year, so I don't know if I am still considered a "newlywed" or not. I lost a little bit of weight (20lbs or so) for my wedding and gained it all back over the last year.

My main motivation right now for losing weight is my husband and I would like to start trying to have a family soon. I currently weight 220lbs :( and would like to get down to a healthier weight before I get pregnant. Both for the health of me and the baby and because I don't want to add more weight onto my already heavy frame. We want to start trying around the summer time. So I figure if I can lose 10lbs a month for the next 7 months that will put me at 150lbs which is a healthy weight for my height! I'm 5'6''.

I would definitely love some support! So send me a friend request and I will approve you. :)

Hey there! Congrats on the wedding :) I have also lost weight in the last year and a half only to gain it all back--plus some! I'm in a serious relationship and hope it continues to progress. I want to start a family someday (in the next few years, hopefully) as well as be around a very long time for my partner. I too want to be healthy before this happens. Thinking about my own future and my future family is a huge motivation for me to do this and to do it now. I'm new to the MFP community and am looking for support as well on this journey! I'm going to add you as a friend; anyone else looking for support can feel free to add me as well :)

Hey lady! My wedding was two years ago and part of the reason I wanted to drop some LBs was my husband. I mean - I love the guy. I want him to have a hot wife :) AND a happy wife, and I feel much happier about myself when I'm eating well, exercising and feeling confident about my body.

I'm almost to my goal but I'm always looking for new friends. The journey never stops, IMO. Always working to be the best that I can. Feel free to add me, I like to encourage my pals!

Hi there! I'm 24 and got married April 2011. I also lost about 20 lbs for my wedding but have since gained it all back plus some. My husband lost about 30 lbs and did manage to keep it off, so now I'm feeling some pressure to catch up. Also hoping to be in shape before we start thinking about kids. I'll send you a request and we can motivate each other!

Im definitely not a newlywed since Ive been married for 5 years now but when I got married I was 171 lbs. But my heaviest weight was 200 lbs when I was younger (about 19-20). Anyway, I had to lose some weight in order to fit back into my wedding dress. After we got back from our honeymoon I continued my weight loss journey again and dropped all the weight (was 134) and then got pregnant at the end of January 2010..gained 36 lbs during my pregnancy which brought my weight once again back to 171...worked out all through my pregnancy with Insanity and other videos.....post baby was about to get back to my pre pregnancy weight of 134 plus I lose another 10 lbs which brings me down to the lowest weight Ive ever been. Ive been maintaining my weight of 124 lbs since March of this year. My workouts consist mostly of the Insanity programs. They are the best!!

So guys, feel free to add me for support and motivation. If I can do it, you can do it!!

Sent you a friend request :-) I am a newlywed myself of almost 3 months :-) I have been married before where I gained a ton of weight and then worked it off but then got happy and gained it back. I know I have done it before and now back on track, good luck!! You can do this :-)
