I signed up on MFP about 3 weeks agon and have been really good, alwatys managing to stick to my calerie goal. 1200 caleries per day,. This week we have a collegue who is based abroad over at the office and there have been a lot of lunches out and so on. I decided to switch to maintance for this week only and suddenly found myself with 1590 caleries per day.
Well.. today have been a baaad day! My collegue brought loads of swedish sweets over and since its something I donlt have every day I allowed myself to have some. (about two handfuls) Thjen we went out for a two hours team lunch, lovely but now I am feeling stuffed and really bad. I am really bad at estimating cals but had ciabatta with grilled mozzarella cheesee and grilled vegetables and a big side dish of chipc (french fries) then a brownie with ice cream for dessert. (and a latte) Probably about 1000 caleries. So at a rough estimate I have already had at least 1500 cals and its only 4 pm.
yesterday was quite bad too but not anywhere near as bad as today. LOL - this is my first post here and I am just unloading my quility feelings. Trying to tell myself that i wonlt gain weight after just a couple of bad days, and that tomorrow I will be back on track. I have been pretty good up until now, and have found that i can still have the stuff I like, if I plan for it and fit it in my diet, alternatively excersise to earn extra cals, :-)
Thanks for listening!:-)

Oh, I forgot to ask - if anyone is good at estimating calories, please let me know what you would roughly estimate the above with. I put 1600 into my diary just to be on the safe side:-)

just try to put everything in separately and let MFP add it up for you. If you just enter the "quick calories" you aren't getting the nutritional info.

Just a quick look in the database -
"swedish sweets" - like as in swedish berries? If so,
Nordic Sweets - Swedish Forest Berries 6 pieces = 140 cal. 2 handfuls, maybe 30 pieces? so 700 cal

Sandich is probably close to this one:
Panera Bread Panini - Tomato Mozarella on Ciabatta = 770 cal

    Grilled Veggies
Outback Steakhouse - Grilled Vegetables = 96 cal

    French Fries
Fast foods - Potato, french fried in vegetable oil = 1 large order (~169 g) = 578 cal

    Dessert
    Cookies - Brownies = 1 square, large (2.75" sq x 7/8") = 227 cal
    Ice creams - Vanilla = 0.5 cup (approx 1 med scoop) = 145 cal

Obviously, I wasn't there, so you need to edit the quantities to fit, but if I am close, you ate somewhere around 2516 calories total for the meal you described.

I think the important thing to remember is to keep going, despite this small derailment. The big take away I've gotten from reading other peoples success stories is that you're going to have bad days, but instead of giving up, you get right back on that horse.

Reading about what you ate was like food porn though :) Sounds fantastic!
