today, for the first time in about 10 years I bought a pair of jeans that were a number smaller than the previous ones.
during last 3 months I went down from 44->42->40 now, I'm not buying more at the moment, and I'm hoping I'll drop another size before Xmas

Good for you! I just had my husband go up in the attic last weekend and bring down my "old" jeans that haven't fit in 4 years. They fit! They are 2 sizes smaller than the ones I have been hiding in. It was very exciting, especially since some of them had tags on them since I bought them in hopes of fitting smaller.
Keep up the good work and good luck with your goal of a smaller size. Make those jeans like the grinch's heart at the end of the movie... 2 sizes too big!0 -

still have some - mostly given as presents - that I wasn't able to wear even once, most of them with tags attached. finally will have chance to wear them for the first time0 -
