Help! Going food shopping tomorrow..

As the title says, i'm going food shopping tomorrow! Was wondering if any of you lovelies had any suggestions on what to buy? I try to eat pretty healthy as it is, lots of fruits a veggies but it's getting a bit boring. Only thing is I don't want anything TO fancy as I don't want to push my luck and end up falling off the wagon. I live next to Asda, pound land/world etc because im in the city so most places are close. Have a couple of fruit and veg shops but the produce seems to go off in the next few days after I buy them. And also i'm on a budget... just to make it that little bit more awkward

Have you tried Chard? Tesco do it for a quid (*think* there's a Tescy near you). It's like spinach. And speaking of spinach...
Maybe get some frozen veg? I a Sunday lunch, so get your frozen veg for that, plus gravy and some yorkshires!)
And peanut butter!
Oh, and do you like stir fry? That can be nice with a little lime pickle0 -
Not sure what sort of foods you are really looking to get, but here are some of the things I always try to have on hand:
Plain yogurt
Freeze-dried fruit
Brown rice
Canned, no-salt-added tomato products
Canned or dried beans
Dry lentils
TVP
Minced garlic in a jar
Dried herbs
Dried minced onion
With this basic stuff, I can come up with a meal of some sort in pretty quick order.
Also, as to produce: I find that carrots, Brussels sprouts and heads of cabbage seem to last a bit longer in the produce drawer. Celery and lettuce always turn much faster. Apples last better than oranges and bananas, but aging bananas do store nicely if you peel them, wrap in plastic, and put in the freezer.0 -
Beans, canned tomatoes, and low sosium chicken broths are must haves for me. Then I can make meals around that stuff. I like to keep frozen veggies in the fridge also.0

Fat free vanilla creamer

Fat free refried beans

i really enjoy the fiber one 90 calorie brownie! I buy a big box at costco and find it is the perfect snack. I also have been having one at breakfast... there is sugar in them plus ALOT of fiber0

Non/low fat Greek yoghurt (make sure it has low sugar per 100g)
Brown/wild/black rice
Wholegrain pasta
Wholemeal bread
Sweet/regular potato
Porridge/wholegrain cereal (make sure it's 100% wholegrain wheat and no added sugar in the ingredients!)

Having a well-organized, well-planned grocery list will not only get you in and out of the store quickly , it also will keep your healthy eating plan on track. It's a lot harder to splurge on junk food if it's not in your pantry and fridge. Keep more focus on vegetables, fruits and salads better for all age people like elder people at home.0
