That about sums it up!

I've been guilty in the past of spending money on diet pills and books that claim you can lose 20 lbs in 2 weeks. It wasn't until I really learned how weight loss works and what the benefits are from doing it slowly with a balanced diet and exercise that I really started making progress! Even if the scale doesn't budge for a week, I remind myself that this isn't a race!

Its really the only long term way to keep weight off and couldnt agree more. Short cuts get you there, but again short is the key word and usually are not long term sustainable solutions for staying at your goal weight.

I have a nasty habit of getting barbecued for offering advice on how much to eat.

So, YAY! simplicity! Eat less... =)

Enjoyed the article. Short and succinct. Even has a link to see how many calories would put you in a deficit. It was pretty accurate compared to what MFP has identified for me.

    Thanks.

It is easy to read the article and understand how it's done, but to practice the article is the hard part for me. I am trying to make positive changes every day. I have 40 pounds to lose. Thanks for the link. I could use all the help.
  • Great article if you want to know how to lose weight. I think though if it were that easy no-one would be overweight in the first place.
