Is anyone having trouble with serving sizes on new foods?

I've had a few people say that they were unable to create new foods with serving sizes like "2 slices" or "1 cup". However, I've been completely unable to reproduce that error myself. You definitely should be able to create foods with serving sizes like that without a problem.
Has anyone else experienced an issue entering a serving size they thought should be valid on a new food, and having it be rejected as an invalid serving size? If so, can you post what serving size you tried to enter, and what happened when you entered it?
Thanks!

Mike,
I have put about 8 to 10 different foods in and have had no problems no matter how imaginative I get!
I think you should have a line in there on what the source of the information was though!
Its seems as if "google is my friend" can sometimes lead people to either putting only some information in, or information that is not exactly true! I try to pull my calories content right off the packaging of the food.
Thanks so much for the site!

Yes, when I enter a new food into the database I also pull the info right from the box in front of me as well.... I know Google is my "friend" but I don't trust it unless it's right here in front of me!!0

I have entered several foods without any problems. When I did have problems it was operator error. Oops! I figured it out though!0

The only thing I noticed was that if I didn't put in the amount of servings per container, it wouldn't work, even if I'd put in the average serving size.0

Also want to take this opportunity to say that I love your site Mike! Thanks so much for creating it0

I just entered something but I cannot edit it because what I put in was wrong. How do I edit foods for different serving sizes?0

Yeah, I have major issues with serving sizes. One time I entered in all the ingredients in a casserole I made, and tried to make the serving size 1 cup. Didn't work. So, then I had to put "1 meal" as the serving and do the math until I figured out the correct decimal to enter in. Total pain. Not sure what to do about it! I just figured that I'm a lammo.0

Yeah it would be useful if after entering what you had and hitting 'remember meal' if after remembing and saving you could then get another option of 1, 2, 0.5, 0.25, etc. if you are making a batch of something or only having a half of the meal cooked, etc.

The only time I had issues was as stated above by someone else put 1 Cup in serving size but didnt put anything in the servings per container , thats when you get the error, or when I do :ohwell:0

when i first started to log i would spell out the numeral such as "one cup" instead of "1 cup" and that was a problem!! but other than that it has been fine for me:smooched:0

Hello Mike . I always enter the information straight from the product and have never had a problem.....until earlier tonight. The product quote was " aprox. 50 " and so when I changed that to " 50 count box " it accepted it , no problem. So ...that has been the extent of any trouble for me.0
