Hey, I'm Nicky. I'm 24 years old and have always been overweight. I am currently sitting at about 210 and would love to get down to 150. I keep telling myself I need to lose weight and have good intentions, l start working out and logging my food, but about a week or two later I give up. I would really love to have some friends to help keep me motivated to lose this weight and keep it off.
Also, I cut out most meat and very rarely eat chicken, tuna, and salmon. Daily, I don't generally get enough protein. Any ideas or tips to help me get more protein w/o eating a ton of calories. I do love almonds, but can't eat a lot of them b/c of the calories.
Thanks!

Egg whites and whey protein can help with getting your protein without a lot of calories.0

Why do u cut out all the meats? chicken, tuna, and salmon are amazing for protein and not high in calories...plus the oils in tuna and esp salmon are great for u!..hard-boiled eggs are my new favorite snack..helped keep me full all day today, and normally I'm starving all the time. I agree with the whey protein..i use that too...egg white omelettes, i do 3 whites and one whole egg with (with broccoli and a little reduced cal feta cheese) are good and u can add in onions peppers, whatever u like. When i started losing weight and got really into it about 7 years ago i ordered Turbo Jam..its a great workout and fun too..i know u can find it on ebay if ur interested..anyway..there is a set of booklets that came with it that lay everything out for you...helped me learn how to eat. I got mine directly from Beachbody0

Well i cut out meat because of antibiotics and unnatural diets the animals are fed. Also, the unsanitary conditions in which they are raised. I eat as much organics as I can afford to buy and just don't eat meat on principle. I will occasionally buy organic, grain-fed, range-free chicken (same for my eggs, but I always buy eggs). In general, I am what they call a "semi-vegetarian."
I don't like loading up on tons of eggs because they are high in calorie. Same goes for nuts. I just wanted to find something lower in calorie to help me get more protein in my diet. My goal is 51g of protein according to MFP and I am usually right around 30g.0
