I homeschool our 4 kids and find that I'm really enjoying running. I think it has a lot to do with getting out of the house by myself and enjoying the quiet!!

I have to say the workout I do when I do 2 weight machines at the gym and then do 3-5 mins of cardio. I alternate this for about an hour. It's quick it's easy.

I love doing circuit training. I take a class at a gym close to my work that does circuit training. It is so tough and I've felt like puking even during some of them! Its very intense and tough, but workouts like that will give you the best results. Its a mixture of high intensity cardio and strength training moves for short bursts of time (30 - 60 seconds) with 15 to 30 seconds of rest in between. Love Love Love it! Full body workout!

I haven't been doing them lately, but I love group classes with loud music, especially if the class incorporates weights. Except Zumba. That's too hard for me to follow! :-)

Lately I've been getting my cardio on the elliptical/stair machine (with ear buds and loud music) and working with a trainer for strength.

Oh! And hiking. I love hiking!

Back in the day I was a rollerblading fanatic. I like to go fast ...
  • ndearing - yeah I used to do circuit training as part of my krav maga training and boy does it kick butt. I used to feel GREAT afterwards but I'm so out of shape now that I really think I need to start off slow LOL. (I'm kidding myself right I should just get my *kitten* in gear lol)

I LOVE Zumba. I wish I could do it all the time.

In tie for second place is running outdoors and lifting weights at the gym. Didn't discover I enjoyed those two until recently. Makes up for not being able to do Zumba all day every day!

Zumba, anytime, all the time. I leave class figuring out when I can go again, did Zumba Toning tonight, definitely feeling the muscles tonight. I have even done 3 classes on the same day before.. Hiking when its nice..cold is ok but no rain. Precor AMT, its like an elliptical but also can use as a stepper. I took a weightlifting class years ago and liked it and will probably add it back in when I can join a gym where I feel comfortable lifting. I love the endorphin rush after a good cardio push.

I play netball twice a week, which is fun, but my favourite is definitely my weekly horse riding lesson. It tones your bum and thighs like nobody's business, plus engages your core muscles AND works the arms... Oh and did I mention that it's awesome fun?
