Eating before morning workout cardio/weights

hey guys!
So I have heard conflicting advice and would like to hear what you guys think -
Do I eat before a morning weight training or cardio session?
I work out around 6:30 am for an hour plus and was recently told to eat 1/2 a banana or something small to break the fast (breakfast) and burn of that glucose for energy first. I have tried it for a few days and do notice a bit more energy but also feel...um.. burpy? lol
so what do you think?
thanks!

I do not eat before I go to the gym. I do about 30 mins of weights, then drink a protein shake with a banana blended in it, then I do cardio. I cannot eat before I go to the gym, I go at 4am.0

I always eat before working out, but if I'm going for a long run, I have to get up extra early to eat well before my run so there's no trots or anything.
I know people that don't eat before they work out for one reason or another (sometimes it's because they get nauseous or sick while working out if they eat befor) - but I get nauseous if I DON'T eat!

I do "bootcamp" on Saturday mornings at my gym and I don't like to go on a completely empty stomach but if I eat too much it makes me feel like I'll throw up so I compromise ... I eat a banana or a yogurt or a breakfast bar (like fiber one or something like that) ... something to hold me over until I get home works for me. Good luck!0

I have heard this too....for me, I have way too sensitive of a stomach to eat much of anything before working out. But I have found drinking some juice before I workout still gives me some energy but isn't so much that I feel "burpy"0

This is one of those things that's up to you. It's all about how you feel. Hungry while working out? Eat first. Weighed down if you eat before a workout? Don't bother. It's 100% your call.0

either way works for me. i stopped caring which I did. see how you feel doing both0

I make a protein drink right before I head to the gym (i walk to my gym) drink half on the way there and finish it on the way home. That way I don't have a completely empty stomach but I'm not full either. Seems to work for me.0

I would recommend eating before weight training but not before cardio. It works for me.0

I also go in the morning and just get my butt out the door. No food, maybe I'll prepare my post workout shake, but that's about it.0

Normally I'll drink a 30g protein chocolate milk before and a 20g protein afterwards. Now my body is kinda use to fulling full before I start It's by habit.0
