Any other ladies suffering from PMDD?

I was diagnosed with PMDD (Premenstrual dysphoric disorder) a few years ago. I was on antidepressant after antidepressant and nothing helped. Every time I went to the doctor they pushed a different pill which made things even worse. Most days I'm surprised I made it through those two weeks of every month. Earlier this year I said enough was enough and weaned myself off all of the meds. It was a bit rough at first, especially since no one undstood what was wrong with me, especially when my husband thought I didn't love him and the way I was feeling was because of him. Unfortunately you can't control HOW you feel which makes things that much more difficult and people start to avoid you one at a time. Anyways, I gained over 20 pounds after that since my hunger came back with a vengeance on top of compensating for feeling so alone and like a complete failure. Things started getting better over the last 6 months. Instead of blowing up when I feel the "beast" wanting to come out in a difficult situation, I simply walk away. Some months are better than others, especially with modifying my diet, etc. However other days are not so good. I feel angry without any good reason and it's such a struggle to not break down and cry. The last few days have been rough, especially with the holiday season approaching. I know that in the next few days the symptoms will go away but THIS JUST PLAIN SUCKS!!! If anyone else is suffering with this disorder feel free to friend me. I know how you feel and it sucks to go through this alone.

Wow, I don't even know anyone who has this personally ... but I have certainly heard of it and the seriousness of it. I am a firm believer that our foods effect WHO and WHY in our personal equation..for sure. Keep eating clean and staying positive and focused on your goal. I can't stand the pharmaceutical industry and how every Dr wants to throw a pill at you to bandaid everything. Maybe seeing a holistic doctor would help. My son goes to a practice in Wallingford that I simply adore0

Thanks! It really sucks. What's the doctor's name? I hate that they keep throwing pills at me some of which have only been on the market for 6 months. Really??? Anyways, I see a holistic type chiropractor who has me on some supplements that have been amazing. Thankfully I see him again on Monday so we can see what we can tweak to help.0
