I have a friend who is taking them at the moment. I don't know if they are the same as they were prescribed by her doctor but those tablets she's been taking have been working well. It is possible to have tablets that increase your metabolism as they would have the same affect as drinking a lot of green tea or eating blue berries. I would recommend talking to your doctor before taking them and getting their opinion on it.

Usually it's just the caffeine that works. To get a better answer, check the actual ingredients. Some do work but often have negative side effects.

Not going to get them as I'd got them when I got my protein powder..I always thought they were something you got from a doctor.

You can't increase or decrease your metabolism a significant amount with either pills. supplements or your diet. Supplements and pills that say they will increase your metabolism usually contain some kind of stimulant that will make you hyper and therefore more active but they don't physically increase your natural metabolism. Same thing with either under or over eating. You have to get your calorie intake down to being nearly dead and your BF under 5% for the dreaded "starvation mode" to kick in and when you EMTWL all you're doing is refilling glycogen stores you depleted by under eating. Your metabolism doesn't have a reset button that's user friendly.
