Do you work out on a rowing machine? If so, join in on a challenge!

Go to the Concept2 page and make yourself a profile:

(You can start logging your meters there now...a Holiday challenge is on at the moment, and Concept 2 will donate money based on 100K meters or more!)

Then to to the Teams page. Scroll down to the "Open" teams and join MFP Friends.

Finally, go to the Challenges page (I think!) and sign up for the VTC (Virtual Team Challenge). It starts January 1, so if we get started now, we can be in good shape to rock then.

    I'm with the Free Spirit Virtual team (May to May annually). Doing a 10-week Concept 2 Weight Loss program since end of Sept and on my 28th of 30 session. I'm loving it but I'm not anywhere as great as some of the seasoned rowers...just plodding along at average around 2' 50 per 500m mark. Try to row around 12K/day 3 to 4 days a week. But it sure is great for toning the body..be it a 50 yr old's!

    Haven't really look into any of the challenges yet but I shall look into it soon.

    Its not how fast you go. As long as you are raising your heart rate, you are getting benefit. I am currently reading a book called "Row Everyday, Breathe Deeper, Live Better" its a kindle book $ 3 on Amazon. Its an excellent motivational read extolling the virtues of moderate everyday exercise. It doesn't matter what your splits are, its total meters. Join us in January. :-)

    So cool! I'm betting you might not be able to be on two teams at once, but maybe you could switch just for the month to fill out the MFP group. 12K a day?! That's fabulous!! If you added just one extra short day (4 or 5 K) a week this month, you'd make the 200K holiday challenge.

    I did not realised that I have logged 71860m to date (from 22nd November) and I have only 28140m to go to reach the 100K Challenge!! SO I have join the Holiday Challenge and chosen a charity and I have only 3 session of 12K and I am there!
