I lost 9lbs a few months ago and was so proud of myself.
Then I went crazy and have eaten EVERYTHING for the past 2 months.
I gained 5lbs back.
Ive now realised that it really isnt worth it. I feel rubbish, my moods are all over the place, my clothes feel too tight and I just generally feel terrible.
I know its December and the hardest time to lose weight and be healthy but I'm starting again tomorrow. Cant continue feeling this bad.
I will do it. I will.

I know what you mean. I had lost 26 lbs and gained 9 back. My wakeup call was my annual physical, Blood sugar was high as well as total cholesterol and tryglicerides. Have a family history of heart disease and diabetes so I need to get back on track or go on medication. Holidays are always bad as everyone brings deliscious dishes and desserts. Just need to learn to take a few bites worth and move on. There was some study done and after the first few bites, you no longer get the satisfacation like from the first two bites. I've been testing this theory lately, and it does seem to be true. Just need to work on getting a good variety of healthy food now.
The reason I think it's hard to say no is you don't want to offend anyone by refusing what they put so much work into. Also, if you are like me, haven't completely conquered this. Just remember you have the right to do what's best for you. If a friend is offended by this, maybe they are not such a good friend. Just be polite and maybe take them aside and explain you are trying to lose weight and/or improve your health. These were tips from a Healthy Habits class I just completed.
Hope this helps.0 -
