I eat a piece of gum after lunch or dinner, it helps me not eat like 4 Oreos instead.
  • Drink lots of water, chew gum, or distract myself. I also save a bonus goodie for the end of the day & sometimes don't even eat it.

If you are binging that much, you might want to seek professional help. If you are always hungry, you might not be eating enough during the day, perhaps up your calories.

I mostly just avoid buying those things so I can't eat them or binge. When I do buy myself snacks I usually try to buy things that are only one serving.

I can't do gum either... it'll all be gone in a day, even if I buy a three pack.
  • perhaps up your calories.

    I'll try that
  • Flirting is also a good distraction
  • try to avoid being bored

I brush my teeth, paint my nails, wash my face, organize my room, go for a walk, chug water, take baths... pretty much keep myself busy at all times

This...plus I try to eat foods that are filling, like fresh apples and bananas and salads.

Well try drinking water, some actually a lot of people do that but i think it only helps or about 20 mins-half an hour.
Other say that drinking green tea help. For instance, i hat green tea but instead drink other kinds of tea just not with sugar and honey but sweeteners cause i drink....pff....tons of tea
If it still doesn't work for you...then....try having a small amount of what you craved for and then do something not to go and eat more. For example have a bit of chocolate and then immediately go for a walk.
    This worked for me:smile:

There are even some diet supplements or what are those called only for cutting a bit your cravings. And are really good...but for me....i don't like to diet with pills and supplements

  • If you are eating every 2-3 hours you shouldn't be hungry. The first few weeks it is hard to adjust. I am still learning this myself. It's also important to snake between meals - on healthy snacks of course. Nuts, fruit, cottage cheese, string cheese, if you want chocolate... limit yourself to a small piece of dark chocolate. I am iust as guilty as the next to not follow through with this. I know it's hard. : / just some ideas.
  • I've binge eaten for ages and it's a complete nightmare. Lately, after becoming exercise-obsessed ( it helps to have myfitnesspal motivate me to lower my calories ) it's been taking my mind off food, releasing endorphins and making me naturally want to eat better and do what my body is asking me to rather than doing everything against what it needs. Try some 10 min exercises whenever u take a break. It doesn't even feel like much, but once you get started, it gets so damn addictive!

I also try not to buy unhealthy snacks like the above posters, because I have the tendency to eat it all.
I eat snacks in a small bowl rather than out of the packet, have a table just for eating and only eating, drink different exotic teas before meals because I dislike the taste of water, and allow myself to eat unhealthy snacks 1-2 times a day, because it's okay to. This things are secondary, because once I exercised more, I did what my body felt like so naturally, I wanted to find ways to eat better.
Now I can walk past cake shops, lolly jars, cookie jars without freaking out. It feels absolutely amazing. You have to love and treat yourself well, because if you won't, who will?

Especially on workout days, I make sure I am eating a protein/carb combination every three hours. It doesn't have to be a lot, it just has to be something. As long as there is something in your stomach, the likelihood of binging is drastically less.
