Hello All,
My name is Marjie. I'm 49 years old and about 115 lbs overweight. I finally found a program that appears to be helping my weightloss efforts. My focus will be on a low carb program and will try to keep a daily blog.
I look foward to meeting new people and supporting one another.

and so the Real Journey Begins- I hope-it's up to me-I need the conscience of this board to hold me accountable. I am like you in the sense I joined in April-applied myself for one day! Pfft.
So here I am again-hoping my Real Journey has begun-on day two this time around-progress already!0 -
I think that you have the right idea.....my weight steadily increased at a slimming club when carbs were unlimited (the idea being that you would be full up so would not be tempted to binge) and I am so struggling to lose it. Whilst they do fill you, less carbs definitely has to be better. A lot of people on here have reminded me to ensure that protein levels are kept up so do keep an eye on these. And good luck! I wish you a steady downhill run on your journey... xxx0

Think in terms of the 10% rule. Each time you lose 10% of your body weight, you have lowered your risk of many weight related illnesses, and reached a very valid "mini goal". Feel free to add me as a friend and best wishes!0

Thanks everyone for all your replies. I started wtih a low carb meal delivery program two weeks ago. DiettoGo is delicious, but even just doing lunch and dinner is still way too expensive. I lost four pounds those two week, which is great. Now I'm on day 3 of the Meal Movement/ Personal Training Food delivery program. It's the least expensive of all the natural low carb food plans. It's breakfast, 2 meat dishes, 2 vegetable dishes and 2 snacks a day, 28 days for less than $400. It is so convenient not to have to worry about cooking and you definately learn portion control. I'm worry about the fact that the meals do go over the 1200 calories that is suppose to be to goal in the food diary. Let's just see how my weghtloss will be affected.0
