NSV - I ran a 10k!

So as I meet goals along my running journey I like to create posts to share, to motivate, to receive motivation, and just to feel great about my accomplishments. I started running towards the end of June this year. And I use the term loosely as I started out jogging only 2 minutes. The couch to 5k program was awesome. Without that structure I would have never made it and even with it I often came close to giving up. But I persevered and I am a much better person now because of it. I feel like a whole new person.

So today, at the Busch Gardens Christmas Town Dash, I ran an 8k for the first time. (Previous race was a 5k, time 32:34). I was hoping to make it an hour (BG is hilly though we didn't have to run on some of the evil ones) and I am used to running on flat land. I finish in 54:12 which I was amazed with. I am very proud of myself and I truly believe in the runner's high. I've been on one all day.

Thanks for all your support. That has kept me going as well and turned me into a runner. It took a while to believe, but yes, I am a runner :).
