Yes! Inches matter more. Lately I've been trying to watch my diet, lift heavier & record the results every Monday.

Awesome job! What have you been doing?

    - I try to stay between 1200-1500 calories.
    - In August I started going to a crossfit-type workout class 3 times a week which helped me tone up.
    - On off days I was riding a recumbent bike on a somewhat challenging program for 1hr -or- I would jog on the treadmill for 30 minutes.

    Recently...
    - 4 weeks ago I cut out bread, pasta, cereal, potatos & all those starchy carbs. That made a big difference on my waistline & helped me lose 6lbs
    - 2 weeks ago I decided to focus on building muscle rather than burning fat with tons of cardio (because I was stuck in a plateau). Now my trainer suggests lifting heavier weights with less reps, and not to do anything on my off days.

I guess I'll find out if building bigger muscles will help me tone up & lose a bit more fat!
