Internet Scam

Just a friendly warning, I saw an article which was advertising acer berry pills and thought it was an excellent idea. You could get a free trial of pills for just £3.99 and with the promise of weight loss and feeling better, I thought i would try it. However, they disagreed with me and I stopped taking them. I have just discovered that 2 x £60 plus a £1 overseas fee has been taken from my account for these pills and another set. Needless to say I have not received any pills and the bank have advised me that they have been receiving a lot of calls about this particular scam.

So please be wary of things that seem too good to be true and offer so much for nothing, I really didn't notice any small print that said I was signing up for anything else.

    Thanks for the heads up
  • seen a similar one for green tea & colon cleanse. Gives you promotional code to put in to get them very cheap, but bottom line is after 14 days you have to cancel agreement. When you try to cancel e-mail address is non existent & they take your money out anyway. I had to get a new bank number.

any time something is for FREE and requires you to give out your bank information - PLEASE DO NOT DO IT!!! I see many clients that have done this and regret it later.. the Acai berry one is just one of many - and I work at a financial institution, just a warning, many clients end up fighting a lost cause.

Oh, ouch! Yeah, NEVER give your bank numbers for stuff that seem too good to be true.
I HATE all those scam greedy people.
