Run your first mile for me. Good luck.0
-
You owe me one now too! (If you're just getting back into running don't try to overdo things; enthusiasm is a wonderful thing but most running injuries are a result of trying to do too much, too soon, too fast)0
-
Amy, Running is such a great exercise. I think that would be really good for you, especially with your work schedule, if you were running!! It would allow you to get some awesome exercise in at almost anytime. I used to do it and loved it. (wish I were able now)
I do agree with the other post though. Start out slow and steady and don't try to do too much at once. It's best to stay injury free.
I hope you still have some running shoes around somewhere,...in good shape-- so you don't have to go out and buy any.
Your friend, Amy0 -

Those people replying twice are not nice!!0
-
No, not nice at all, and furthermore...0
-
...they should stop!
(Enjoy your running!)0 -
You asked for it! How long do you think it's going to take to run all these miles? Take it easy and don't try to do it all at once.0
-
Haha, yes. I did ask for this... Remind me again why I thought to do this?? Oops... :P
Well, seeing as there are 14 miles (so far), ill probably go 5-7 miles a day for however long that'll take. Which, that shouldn't be TOO hard, because I already go 5 miles a day on normally days. But it will be a little bit more of a challenge.
Thanks goes to everyone from me for supporting me through this
Hope everyone has a great day and keep the comments coming!! (If you wish)

Phew! Ok, well 6 miles of the 15 done! I feel accomplished! Lol
But don't let me feel too accomplished people! COMMENT SOME MORE TO MAKE ME RUN!
6/15(?)0 -
run an extra one for me!0
-
You got this!! Remember why you wanted to start running and what makes you want to not stop!!! Miles, miles, miles!! Keep running them0

Here's some motivation for you, by way of personal anecdote:
I started running a little over 10 years ago. It helped me lose 65 pounds and I ended up racking-up some huge mileage totals (6 marathons, 40 half marathons). I promised myself I would never stop. But then life kinda got in the way. A rough stretch with work, a very happy marriage that made me spend less time at the gym / running and more time at home. Now I've put back on 35 pounds and even though I *really* crave going out for that nice long run on the weekends (10+ miles) I can't physically do it any longer.
I'll get back there soon, I know, but I'm starting from scratch practically. Don't let this happen to you!0 -
Get going:)0
-
You should do at least one for mile for me......0
-
Well I guess two would be better......0
-
I will think of you while I am out running my morning 8 miles with our German Shepherd tomorrow pre-dawn..... Run on my friend!0
-
Holy crap! I love you guys!! You're all so amazing!! Thanks so much everyone!!
Xoxox,
Amy0 -
Oh no!! Do I see the miles coming to an end? Will I really ONLY have to do 22 miles??
COME ON PEOPLE!! Make me suffer!!!! (Heehehe)0 -
You're insane!!! but if you're already doing 6 mile runs without struggling then you're kicking butt!0
-
I'll be running tonight (I have a race on Sunday that I forgot about... opps) and I wouldn't mind the company. LOL0
-
RUN! one mile from me
I'll be doing a 6miler today too0
