I plan to start on Wednesday this week as I do Zumba and zumba toning eith weights on a Tuesday so Wednesday will be dy one for me I will be doing the fitness test and then in Thursday I will start the cardio disc.

Set a custom goal. Use the link below to figure out your caloric needs. Then set your macro's at 40% carbs, 40% protein and 20% protein and the biggest thing, if it suggest 2000 calories, do NOT try to under cut it and think you will lose more. It's scary to see how many calories you will need for programs like this. The people I see fail using the BB products are the ones that don't follow the nutrition guides.

Hiya thanks for that - :-) I want to loose as much as possible probably 2lb a week if possible. I know I will need to increase my cals I always do when doing intense exercise. But I mainly want to know what exercise to log it as or roughly how many cals I will burn!?
Thanks
Any more advices would be much appreciated thanks x0 -
I started Insanity today. I use a heart rate monitor and log it that way. If you could I would invest in one..0

Follow the nutrition guide. You will notice it says nothing about using a HRM to calculate calorie burn, deducting it from your calorie intake, and eating those calories back. Just pointing that out. The program does suggest using a HRM, but only for what it was ever intended for......monitoring your heart rate.
Good luck. It is a great program.0 -

Trust me when i suggest do not have mfp set your calories. I see tons of threads about bb programs and people failing for under eating. If you follow the program, you will see the results. I know this because i did 90 days of p90x with no loss because i aimed too high. I then went to clx and ate 2600 per the nutrition guide and had a lot of success. Use the link, do a custom set up and you will see the results.0 -
I logged Insanity as circuit training on MFP. I got a heart rate monitor and it was pretty close to MFP as long as I am really working!! If you slack MFP will over estimate.
GOOD LUCK!!! Dig deeper and keep pushing play!!! HAVE FUN!0 -
Hello. Today was day 1 for me. I use my HRM synced to Endomondo and MFP. My macros have been set to 40c,40p,20f since August.0

I add a custom exercise.. as insanity and use my hrm for accurate calorie counts. The intro video says u can burn 600-700 per workout.. but I average closer to 300. Still tho, fantastic workout. Kicks my butt every time.0

You will LOVE it! It is so addictive!! A couple of things I wish I had known before I started two weeks ago (feels like ages as I'd been trying to do it for weeks):
1) Depending on your fitness level, it WON'T necessarily burn loads of calories as some claim. I was pretty fit before I started and I only burn 400-450 per workout. This is why it is important to get a HRM so you can get as accurate a reading as you're going to get, I can imagine it would be very easy to overeat with Insanity although as said above you have to make sure you don't under eat as you won't have any energy for the workouts. The first week all I wanted to do afterwards was go lie down in a dark room/eat a three course meal. Not necessarily in that order.
2) If you get any water retention, bloating, general feelings of this kind in the first two weeks or thereabouts don't worry. I looked pregnant with twins (or more) for the last thirteen days but that has just gone completely now. I think it is par for the course for some of us doing these programmes.
Good luck, just go at your own pace and take as many breaks as short or as long as you need.0 -
Thank you all really appreciate your comments.
