Hey everyone, I'm relatively new to the website and forums, so just a quick on me: 18, In highschool, and I'm trying to lose fat and gain muscle weight. My school doesn't really offer healthy lunch, and I can't afford to bring some from home, any advice? I run 6 miles a day, and try to do 10 miles on Saturdays. Every thursday I go to PT with Marine Corps recruiters and other poolees. Any advice? Thanks!

First get your measurements, then find what your TDEE (Total Daily Energy Expenditure) and BMR is at.

Here is a great thread for beginners.

You can't gain muscle and lose fat at the same time. You would have a hard time gaining much of anything while doing that much cardio anyway.

At your age, if you want to gain muscle, you have to eat a lot and lift.

Dont worry about what youre eating for lunch so much as adding in any missing nutrition later at dinner :)
