I want BOOTS!

I would REALLY love to be able to wear some cute boots! I hate having to try and find wide calf boots >:-|

Right now I'm on the search for some cowgirl boots! Anyone know where I can find a pair?? I have about 18" calves.... this is so frustrating.

    Check out Zappos.com, they seem to have quite a few wide calf options in some cute styles.

    Look at www.torrid.com!!! They have the most amazing boots. I can never find boots that fit my calves either. My mom is getting me a pair from Torrid for Christmas!

    Looks like I was a little preemptive in my reply lol. I'm not sure about cowgirl boots. Have you checked online at the different boot websites like Ariat or anything?

    There are some out there that have "extended calf width" sizes, but I haven't seen any cowboy boots that have these. Mine are 17", fairly muscular, and they are much smaller now than they used to be. Genetics blow sometimes. You could also wear boots that aren't so high up on the calf.

    I have naturally muscular big legs so I find this problem too. Try stretchy boots or lace ups they give extra wiggle room ;-)

    If you can find boots that you can get on but are a bit tight you can get a leather stretcher. My sister and I both have big calves (entirely genetic). She got a stretcher that helped with some of her boots. Mine are all zips so I can't use the stretcher. I just have to very slowly ease the zipper up as the leather gets to body temperature and gets more flexible.

    Don't know about cowboy boots but the brand Bare Traps makes awesome knee high boots for wider calves. I got some great black knee high boots with zippers and buckles; first time I have found some to fit my fat calves!

    My Papa always got his boots stretched out cause his calves were just huge..he was in great shape just a big man. Maybe that would work.

    Cowboy boots, no, but I found a great pair of boots from Lane Bryant during their 1/2 off sale. They're gorgeous and so comfortable! And so sexy!

    Most western wear stores that sell cowboy boots can stretch the calf portion of the boot. I have had to have it done. Just a suggestion.

    I haven't checked in a while, but www.simplybe.com has great wide, extra wide and extra-extra wide calf boots. They're a UK company, but ship easily to the US.

    i went on a HUGE drawn out Boot search a couple of months ago, I really wanted cute leather boots to wear with skirts this winter but i have big feet size 11/12 depending so its super hard to find anything in my size that is girly (and i was NOT going to get man boots to go w/ a skirt). I noticed when looking for boots that zappos has quite a few in the wide calf catagory and although zappos isn't cheap you could always order a bunch of shoes find the ones that fit and you like and then see if you can find them cheaper some where else. Zappos has free shipping and free returns so it makes shoe shopping easy. I went through about 7 pairs (aprox $1k worth) in boots before i found a pair that actually fit and was cute :)

    Would you consider a lower boot? Ariat Fatbaby boots (it's the style name, not a reference to size) or Ropers are really comfy and not as tall as standard boots and may work for you depending on how your calf tapers. I own Ariats for both fashion and riding and have always been really happy with them.

    I get my boots from Duo. Custom fitted and lovely. Course now that I have lost weight they aren't fitted anymore *laff* But I still wear them because they are comfy and lovely and just fab! www.duoboots.com

    (But before I go, I have had luck at The Avenue, and recently I actually found a pair of knee-high zip-up boots at PAYLESS of all places that fit! My calves are about 17+ inches)
