Hello everyone!
I thought I would share my new favorite breakfast! I was looking for something fast to grab and go in the morning that combined oatmeal and greek yogurt, kept me full, and was versatile so I wouldn't get bored. I found this website online that has recipes for oatmeal you make in a jar the night before and put it in the refrigerator. In the morning, your breakfast is ready to go!
The website is here: http://www.theyummylife.com/Refrigerator_Oatmeal
The basic foundation:
Add to a mason far:
1/4 cup uncooked old fashioned rolled oats
1/3 cup skim milk (I use unsweetened vanilla almond milk)
1/4 cup low-fat Greek yogurt (I use non-fat greek yogurt)
1-1/2 teaspoons dried chia seeds
1 teaspoon honey, optional (I use a packet of SweetLeaf sweetener)
Then, add whatever flavors you want, shake it up, put the lid on the jar, and stick in the fridge.
Yesterday, I added half a mashed banana and a tablespoon of cocoa powder.
Stats for Banana Cocoa Oatmeal:

This morning I had one with a 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon and a small container of unsweetened applesauce.

Tomorrow, I might try one with a tablespoon of cocoa powder and a tablespoon of PB2...yum!

I make this everyday with pb2, it's great
I also like to heat it up in the microwave for about 45 seconds (mine is low power) just to warm it up a bit and top it off with walnuts0 -
Here's another one without chia seeds cos they're mad expensive (Even if they do last forever personally I wouldn't use them enough)
1/4th Cup Old Fashion Oats (Quick works too, steel doesn't)
1/4th Cup Milk (I used vanilla almond unsweet)
1/4th Cup Greek Yogurt (I used Dannon Vanilla Nonfat)
1 Almost Empty Peanut Butter (or other nut butter) Jar
2 TSP sweetener ( I used brown sugar)
1 TBS Chocolate Chips (Optional)
Dump oats and sweetener in peanut butter jar
Mix milk and yogurt in separate bowl
Add milk/yogurt blend to oats with chocolate chips.
Cover and shake.
Refrigerate overnight.
If you choose to microwave do so in separate bowl BC PB jar will melt in the micro but I find the texture is best without the microwave but everyone is different. I topped mine with half a banana, fantastic!
Another One:
Cake Batter Oatmeal
1/4th Cup Old Fashion Oats
2 TB Honey (You can get away with less)
1 to 2 TB Funfetti Cake Mix (Depends on taste)
Half TBS Chocolate Chips (Optional)
1/4th Cup Vanilla Almond Milk
1/4th Cup Greek Yogurt
Dump Oats in to jar (I used an old Cool Whip container, lol)
Add honey and cake mix until well coated/evenly distributed.
In separate bowl mix together milk+yogurt
Add to oats
Mix,
Refrigerate and enjoy the next day0 -
