I've been in maintenance for a year now, so my pattern is really evident to me now.

My weight drops by about two to three pounds below my average weight for a couple of days, prior to my period. Right after my period, I might be up by a pound over the average, and about a week after that it levels out.

    It's quite fascinating. lol

I think it varies by person. For me, my weight will move by .5lb-1lb the week of or right before, and then the week after I usually lose 2-3lbs. I think I retain water.

It doesn't matter anyway as its just water weight.

I get the ToM weight during ovulation, about 2 weeks prior to my period. It's 2-4 pounds and takes until my period starts to lose.

I read somewhere that you burn more calories on TOM. Don't know if its true. I know I feel better and cramp less when I exercise. Didn't pay attention to weight loss though.

i seem to gain a pound or two during my period, and then pretty much as soon as it's over, a couple days, it goes down again.
  • I go up a pound in the week before, can't lose the week of, then am usually down 2 or 3 pounds the week after. It's a yoyo, but utimately evens out to losing a pound a week which is what I strive for.
