Wondering if anyone has any of these devices and if they like them and why. There are differences in all 3 and I wonder what the pros/cons are? thanks for your help!

If you search for these, you'll find loads of posts. A popular combination is Fitbit for daily activity along with- HRM for exercise. Are you from the UK can't get some Bodyfit models there.0

Hi, no I'm from Boston. What is HRM?0

Heat rate monitor. Polar FT4 and FT7 seem very popular.0

The three you listed are kind of like advanced pedometers. They are designed to be worn all the time. They will track your movement and give calorie burn estimates based on that movement but not on how strenuous that movement is. There are different models of the 3 you listed. Some will track your sleep, some are smart enough to know when your doing stairs. I would think they would be good for figuring out how many calories you burned doing normal things, or how many calories you burned walking. They will not be as accurate for intense workouts, running, strength training,
An HRM is usually only worn during strenuous exercise and tracks your calories burned by how hard you work (heartrate).
Depends on what you want to track to which one you want.0 -

This is not true. The bodybugg is not just a pedometer...it also takes into account skin moisture, skin temperature, and how quickly your body is emitting heat. I actually have the body media fit, which is basically the same thing, but the online program is better and it integrates with MFP, which is really helpful. I totally recommend it...it's helped me so much with calorie balancing, but also with making sure I take enough steps, do enough moderate and intense physical activity, and get enough sleep.0 -
Thanks for this everyone. I should have said that I have the body media fit now..just got it a few months ago and the only issue I have is the armband shows all the time and everyone asks what it is. I wonder if the fitbit is less obvious and does the same thing? I'd also like to track my sleep and it's uncomfortable with the armband, I see online the fit bit is on your wrist to track sleep. also the fitbit wirelessly syncs with mfp instead of having to always plug in. I love it..don't get me wrong but these issues bug me.0

Fitbit is worn in an armband at night. During the dy can be worn on waistband or in pocket and women can wear it in their bra. As it only counts steps, it's not as accurate as the BMF but loads of people love it.0

I have the Body Media Fit as well and actually wear it tucked into the side band of my bra. I have done this for months now and there is not a noticeable difference in the readings. I do wear it on my arm during exercise though.0
