Its been a long road since April when I realized I HAD to do something. Started slow. Joined MFP in June. Had foot surgery (took nearly 4 months to heal) but STILL grinded thru it and have lost over 43 lbs. My 43rd birtday is this sunday an I feel stronger than I ever have! I feel healthier than ever! And feeling pretty damn Hot Tamale in the sexy department. SO I encourage you newcomers - DO NOT GIVE UP. Just keep working. It WILL happen if you are focused and consistent.

THANKS SO MUCH EVERYONE!! Yes - I feel great, I am proud and most importantly - I added years to my life. I've always had a great attitude about life - happy to be alive. BUT, I needed to OWN it. Take control of my habits, change my lifestyle to get more healthy results. To answer the above, at first, I walked a few miles a day - 4 days a week. Then, I bought a bike and worked up to 10 miles a day - 5 days a week. Then in August, joined the Y and started doing heavy cardio - elliptical mostly on high resistance and high cross ramp, and treadmill - 6 days a week. As of the last 2 months, I have added some SERIOUS cross training techniques, I utilize the help of a GREAT online Trainer named Scott who is not expensive (inbox me if you want details) and I have been mindful (Not maniacal) about my food. I still have what I want (within reason) - just not as much of it. And I will continue to add more challenging workouts. Week of Thanksgiving I added a lunge and jump squat circuit whil ON the treadmill. AWESOME!!!!! Good luck everyone!!! YOU CAN DO IT - I DID.0 -
