We've got several special ones. We like to travel and have some that remind us of some great times!

Somewhere, I do. I just have no room for any kind of tree anymore, so everything has been packed away for years

I saw the "Edward and Bella's Wedding" ornament at Hallmark. That's sure to become a cherished family heirloom.0

I have a music note on my tree that the bottom part of the note is a jingle bell, it's one of my faves! I also recently bought this penguin on ice skates sliding on it's belly on an ice cube.

I thought you were joking... wow... that's... sad, creepy... I don't know... but they could have found a better actor/actress pairing for Edward and Bella... Kristen Stewart has one of the ugliest faces I have ever seen.0 -
Actually all the Christmas ornaments I have have some sentimental value. Some were made by my Mom, some were gifts from my sister or husband. Some simply mark things that make me smile. I don't know that I could choose just one as my favourite.0

actually, I didn't choose one, it chose me. it's a charlie brown ball from 1977 that a teacher/mentor/friend gave me. every time i hang it I smile and get really warm and fuzzy. I love this lady (and her daughter) so much. And like some of you, I love to shop for ornaments when I go away. they bring back such fond vacation memories (blown glass from Saba is high on the list) but the CB one is special. How can you not love Peanuts? I have a few too from ex-students that kick it too plus some perplexing ones. I was gifted a 7 inch piglet in a tutu (I'm a dance teacher) but really, did that really scream JERRY at you when you looked at it? (you know who you are!) Merry Christmas all.I don't know that I could choose just one as my favourite.0 -
My oldest brother bought a naked angel about 35 years ago and we made sure it was always on top of the tree. It's gone now that my folks are dead (4 years). I would've taken it, but I don't live in the U.S. anymore.0

That's all of our ornaments, too. It's become tradition for my sister and I to put the ornaments on the tree every year, and we have fun unpacking all the ornaments and recalling where each of them came from. Ornament exchanges going back to 1983, Baby's First Christmas, Couple's First Christmas, the yearly family ornaments that my grandma used to make, art projects from elementary and preschool that have miraculously survived 10-15 years despite being made of little more than styrofoam, pipe cleaners, and glitter, commemorative company ornaments my mom received at various jobs. Some of them are utterly ordinary, just bought in a store, but they're still special because of who gave them to us. There's a story behind every last bead and bauble on the tree, which gets more chaotic and laden with memories each year. And I wouldn't have it any other way.0 -
It's not an ornament per se, but I have a ceramic red Santa boot that I received at my school's Christmas party when I was 5. I either put candy canes in it or just put it out alone. It is my most favorite Christmas decoration. I would be devastated if anything happened to it.0

sweet. then there's my nativity the family bought me the year my mom was in rehab ( PT not alcohol) I was shocked they knew about it, found and AND bought it.. the camel was sold separately.. it's pretty special too...It's not an ornament per se, but I have a ceramic red Santa boot that I received at my school's Christmas party when I was 5. and speaking of nativities... we always had a really old one. the creche was cardboard with a really nice scene painted on the back wall... it seemed a shame to let it sit in a box so I took a glue gun and redid it with bark off trees in the back yard, and straw and gifted it to my brother to use while his kids were little (they have a really nice foo-foo white ceramic one his god-daughter made them),,, it turned out really well...0 -

hmmm// i also have a tree top problem.. I can't find one that screams 'me'.. i'm looking for gabriel the archangel, not a farrah-facwette wannabe.... the closest I've come is a rehashed Michael with the dragon hacked off... I'd like more details on yours.. but really, naked?0 -
Nice disclaimer...I came here just to make sure, though, that we were not talking about the nutritional content of Christmas ornaments.0

My ex took all the decorations when we split. I did not know about this till I went to unpack all my boxes 2 years later.
I still have my ceramic Chrtmas tree that I made 12 years ago.0 -
