Winter workouts

Is it just me or does it seem harder to workout during the winter? Is it considered the "Winter Blues?" I was working out for 4 days a week and then on the 19th of November my whole family got sick including me. Its taking me till Monday to be 100% better and my kids are better thank goodness. So right before I am to head to the gym I find out my brother almost dies. He got burned at work and thankfully he is alive. He got 2nd and 3rd degree burns on his face. This week has been a bust. I am really going to start back up but I need motivation to get back to it. Maybe I had to vent.

  • Glad everything's okay with your family and everyone is safe. However, I definetely get winter blues. My flat is cold so I have to study in my bed and getting out of a warm bed into the cold is extremely difficult. But whenever you think you don't want to go, just remember how good you feel once you've done it. Plus, I think going to the gym actually gives me a bit of space from reality and gives me time to take out anger and think things over.

definitely harder in the winter for me. Mostly because I want to be running outside but it's so friggin' cold and wet (Seattle area) I can't get myself to do it, then I make excuses and talk myself out of other indoor exercises. SO.... I agree! Harder in the winter.
