Workout Dyslexia? Please Help

Hi Everyone!
I have never really used workout videos, but I thought I would try Chalean Extreme since I travel a lot for work and need something I can take with me. Well, I am having a hard time following the exercises because Chalean is shown from the front in every exercise. I get confused as to which arm to raise, or what foot to put forward. It would be a lot easier if they showed it demonstrated from the back, as if I am in the back row of a class. I also noticed that when she says, "Step forward with the right foot" the demonstrators in the video step forward with their LEFT! How confusing is that?
Does anyone else have this problem or any suggestions to make it less confusing?

I use "watp" and Leslie says it doesn't matter what foot/arm you do vs her, as long as you are moving ..
if you go right and they go left ..then when they switch you switch ..they go right and you go left ? seems to me it would be ok ...
just my 2c0 -
Thanks for the reply, but I think I wasn't specific enough in my original post. Yes, if I do a lunge with the left first, but they go right, Im ok with that, I will just switch it next time.
What I am having trouble with is, for example, if there is a lunge with the left foot forward but also have to do something with an arm, too, what arm to use. I have to take extra time to try to figure it out and mimic it since the view looking from the front is backwards. Not sure if that makes any sense or not. I just wish workout videos where shown from the back too.0 -
Watch the video a couple times without doing it and get a feel for what happens then start doing it. You may make a few mistakes but you're still moving and the exercise SWAT team has never come busting into my living room for me doing a couple moves wrong.0

I haven't seen that video, but from the sounds of it, you say they say for example step with your right and they use their left, it sounds like you are meant to make a mirror image (ie you use your right foot and they use their left, so you are actually mirroring them)... thinking of it that way might help you co-ordinate your movements0

^This. So if she steps forward and you step forward, your toes would touch if you were really face to face.0 -
I guess I didn't think of it as being a mirror image. I'll try it with a mirror in front next to the tv and see if that helps. Thanks0

I don't have any suggestions (good ones in the previous posts though!), but yes I also have this problem.
I just have up and don't do those types of classes anymore LOL.0
