Flax seed recipes..

I have a bag of flax seed just staring me down, it was given to me by a friend not to long ago.. I was told it's super healthy and i need to add it into my diet.
any clue what to do with it???

I have a bag of flax seed meal that I bought a while ago. When I was eating fish I incorporated some of the meal into fish patties for an extra nutritional boost and as a thickener. I imagine you can do the same with them whole, and not just with fish patties, but other broken down meats as well. Some people use them in smoothies, I've heard a lot about them being used to make crackers and breads/muffins. You can also sprinkle them on salads. You can mix them in with sauces, or oatmeal, and I'm sure all sorts of other things that I can't think of off the top of my head at the moment. I don't believe thier flavor bothers anything in any dish. So if you just want to get rid of them, as well as add nutrition to a meal, just sprinkle some in there, won't hurt a thing hope that helped.0

if it is in whole seed form you can basically add it to anything!
salads and dressing
oatmeal and cereals
cottage cheese
yogurt
anything baked
if you wanna process it down to flax seed meal just food process or blend it up really quick and use it as a replacement for flour.
pizza dough recipes are good with this and they are all over the place online
add it to steel cut oats and use almond milk instead of regular milk OMG it is so amazingly good!! donsn't need any additives!
sprinkle it in with parm cheese on food.
basically you can do anything with flax seeds. they are a great way to add nurtients and fiber to your diet and not add too much random flavor to your food0 -
I add it to everything I make, especially smoothies! It's good in anything baked, you can put it in cereal, oatmeal, etc. It blends real well with that stuff.0

Than you for asking this question. I too have flaxseed and have only incorporated it into homemade bread. Which I do not make very often. But the other suggestions I eat daily.0

Ok.. sound good! They are whole flax seeds.. so I'll try the oatmeal addition and the smoothie thing and just throw them into salads. Or I guess it sounds like I can put them into most of the foods I make too. since i like to saute veggies often0
