I just found this site last week and I love it! I have about 15 lbs to loose but will be happy with 10. I realized, after finding MFP, that I was consuming too many unnecessary calories. My weakness? Chardonnay and snacking (when I wasn't hungry). Also, I became a vegetarian recently but choosing the wrong foods when I was hungry. I am really committed to the weight loss primarily to keep me in check. If continued with the drinking (1-2 glasses about 4 nights a week) and the snacking it could get out of control.
The food diary is a must. I never cheat. It is my "come to Jesus" moment and keeps me honest. I have exceeded my caloric intake some days but not by much and I am loosing a little weight already. I have told all my friends about MFP: such a great tool for weight loss and management. Oh! and it motivates me to exercise.
I have the iphone app too and love that!

I just found this site as well and I love it!!! The app makes it really easy to use everywhere you go too. So glad I stumbled across it.0

Isn't it great?! I open my diary to the public so I'm more motivated to eat well (even though I sucked the last 2 days!) Also, when I feel like eating I read lots of forums and look at before and after pics and suddenly I don't want food anymore...magic...0
