Christmas and New Years for 1,

I survived Thanksgiving, now I would like a table for one – on Christmas, New Year's Eve and Valentine's Day…

It's just another challenge for me and maybe next year things will be different. Being about a year free from a toxic relationship that went on too long, I have learned a lot about myself - and I know being with the wrong person isn't the answer either!! In any event I will enjoy the day, and just wondered what others plan on doing?

One suggestion I've heard is to check out Meetup and that's a great idea, maybe a group activity for others similarly situated would be a nice diversion and an opportunity to meet some new friends. I have family about 120 miles away - and do plan to see my kids!!

After Christmas there is the last of the holiday trifecta - New Year's Eve......someone please declare it January 2nd already. And to think about Valentine's Day stuff and all Cupid has to offer!!! These days simply aren't designed for single people!!

Friends are welcomed - especially if you need support this time of year and are interested in plowing through into 2013 and reaching goals, enhanced fitness and quality of life. Keep up the hard work and always remember that things are seldom as bad as we anticipate or remember :flowerforyou:

I'll second this. It's amazing how flirtatious people on here can be.

I'll spend as much time as I can with my family and friends. This will be my first year without my fiance, we had been together since we were 13 so I've never had to do the whole christmas thing without him before. His 26th birthday also would have been the day after Christmas so it'll be a challenging time x Let the thought of seeing your kids and friends/other family keep you going!
