I was asked this since its on my diary almost daily so ill post it here- how to make homemade microwave popcorn:
You need kernels. Any kind (yellow or white).
A brown lunch bag.
NOTHING else. No oil, butter, etc.
Put 2 tblsp of kernels in the brown bag. Shake (i do this just to loosen them up a bit). Fold the top of the bag so that it is slightly shorter than the top of your microwave.
Popping time WILL vary based on your microwave. I do mine about 1-2mins, You have to listen because it will easily burn!

Take top off air popper.
Dump scoop (part of air popper top) of kernels in
Put top back on popper
Put bowl under chute

I love my Presto PowerPop bowl ..... I pop corn using a bit of oil (like 1 or 2 teaspoons) .... it really helps the salt stick.0 -
I love popping it that way (in the bag). I usually top mine with coconut oil, Good stuff.0
