slice the bananas and then spread a bit of Nut Butter on one then put a slice on top... a banana Nut butter sandwich.. see photo in link above!
Or Banana PB ice cream... Toss peeled bananas in the freezer when they get a bit to brown and you'll have them later. I freeze mine separately so I can just grab one out at a time. Toss it in the blender and add a bit of PB and you have a really yummy ice cream!
It covers it all P/C/F but in a healthy way:drinker:0 -
I have like 4 overripe bananas. The kind with the brown speckles on them. Do I just throw them away or are their low calories recipes I can make with them?
They are great for banana bread, or sometimes I will pull the skin, cut them in half and freeze them for smoothies.0 -
Reese PB Banana Bread
3 very ripe bananas, mashed
1/2 cup peanut butter
1/4 cup Canola or Vegetable oil
1 egg
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/4 cup brown sugar
1 1/2 cups of all purpose flour
1/2 tsp baking soda
1 1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
8 oz bag of Reese’s Mini cups
How to Make
Preheat oven to 350
Grease your loaf pan (I used an 8 x 4 pan) with butter or shortening.
In a medium bowl whisk together your flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt, set aside.
In a large bowl stir together your bananas, peanut butter, oil, egg and sugars.
Pour your dry ingredients into your wet ingredients and stir until just combined. Batter will be lumpy. DO NOT OVER-STIR.
Fold in your Reese’s Mini cups and spread batter into prepared pan.
Bake for approx 1 hour or until toothpick inserted into center comes out clean.
Let cool in pan for 10 minutes, then loosen the edges of the pan with a knife and remove from loaf pan, transferring bread to a cooling rack.
sounds delicious but not very healthy0 -
Overripe banana splits.
...no, srsly. Try it. Freeze two of those bananas overnight, then mash them up with some vanilla essence (blender, food processor, yonanas machine, or with your mouth if our feeling like being particularly gross) then serve over the other two bananas. Toss some blueberries on top, too. Tastes awesome.0 -
Peel and freeze them and use them in smoothies.
^^This^^ They make a great smoothie base!!0 -
Mix one with two eggs and a teaspoon of baking powder to make pancakes.
Squish it until it turns into a goo and add a teaspoon of carob or coco powder for chocolate pudding.
Cut into coins and freeze for smoothies/ice cream.
Mix with instant oats, crushed nuts and dried fruit and freeze for 30 mins + for a granola bar.0 -

I make milkshakes (with any kind of milk) and truvia or any other sweeteners. Put the ingredients in the blender and there you go. i usually go for a quarter banana per person.
I also make ice cream, pudding or i use it in cakes or bread. Also pancakes...
Lately i have been adding them to my morning oatmeal0 -
Don't throw them away! freeze or smoothies is good.
Recently I've been obsessed with having them for breakfast: 2 toasted crumpets topped with mashed banana (makes it really sweet) mixed with a bit of cinnamon, so good! You could have just 1 crumpet and 20g mashed banana as a snack for only ~100kcals0 -
I was gonna say banana bread or muffins...
You can also freeze them and use them for smoothies.0 -
