Do I too much workouts?

Hi,
I joined MFP about 2 months ago, my weight was 83 kg - 183 pounds and I have lost 20 pounds so far. I started slowly - swimming, walking, then elliptical for several minutes. Nowadays I go to the gym almost every day, I do cardio on elliptical (60 minutes), I burn about 700 kcal on this. I have no problems to do it. I walk to the gym - is 1,2 miles away from my home. A week ago I started the 30 day shred. I have no sores, no problems to do it. It was me told I do too much workouts...is it true? I eat my burnt calories back (about 2200 kcal daily).
Is it too much?

60 minutes on elliptical will bore you to death and benefits are decreasing with time
try something shorter but more intense, like stair climber
the 30DS is fine while you are a beginner0 -
I started at 20 minutes...I have no problems to do 60 minutes, really. Should I do less? Thanks for your advice, I will try it...how long?0

I doubt you are burning 700 cals with 60 minutes of elliptical...probably more like 500 or so if that
you need to really push yourself to get best results faster
60 minutes on elliptical is too long...it means you arent working very hard
you should be ready and need to quit after 30 minutes...but that 30 will be hard, quality work0 -
The elliptical shows me this amount - my currently weight is 163 pounds and I am 35 years old. Could you be so kind and tell me what would be the best choice for me? 30 minutes on elliptical, stepper - how long...treadmill? Thanks very much...0

I prefer one hour of my Jillian Michaels workout DVDs.
Way more interesting than a treadmill. Even 30 minutes on the elliptical bores me to tears...0 -

machines usually show higher calories burned than actual. A good rule of thumb is 10 calories a minute if you are really working hard. then you subtract normal burn of about 1-2 and you get 8-9. that is for when you are working hard and sweating and panting a bit.
to be safe, go with about 7-8 calories burned a minute.
use a machine that will challenge you. the benefit of the stair climber is it is hard and works the leg muscles much better than the elliptical.
and start doing some resistence work. body weight exercises to start.
push ups (on knees if necessary at first)
lunges...squats...stick with the 30 DS for now0 -
thanks. I will try it....0
