Maybe it's about time to put that setting to maintain instead of losing? or even gaining a bit...

I don't think 106 pounds is too radical for a person who is 5'2. As long as you're healthy and don't look like you're starving, you're probably fine.

If you are unsure if you have taken it too far, ask yourself rather or not you think it's a good idea to stop calorie restriction and start eating at maintenance. If you think you should lose more weight, then perhaps you have taken it a bit too far and you may want to talk to someone.

I don't think it's an eating disorder at all actually. I eat well enough. I pig out on junk occasionally. I think perhaps I've been overdoing it on the exercise though.

My stats though: Female, 32 years, 5'2", currently 106 lbs. Which for my height, is still within the healthy BMI range, albeit at the lower end.

I'm mainly just shocked that somehow I've managed to reach a size 0 without ever actually intending to.

You sound pretty normal to me. With 5.2 size 0 -2 is just perfect. People think being size 0 means you're anorexic. Thats the obese society thinking, where size 14 is normal. Don't pay attention to the haters. Are you happy with how you look and feel? Thats important.

My mom is 5.4 and 99 pounds, size 0. She looks great and has been maintaining this weight since 17 years old (except for pregnancy of course).

I agree with taking photos in minimal clothing (underwear, bikini). I realized I needed to up my calories a little when I could see my ribs in my chest. I didn't see it in the mirror, but in photos, it was apparent.

Ask those around you, specially those who share time with you on a daily basis. Ask if they have noticed anything weird in your eating habits, and what their opinion about how you currently look are. Ask them to be sincere.
My guess is that if you truly had an eating disorder you wouldn't be noticing it, and would definitely be denying it.

Are you eating all of your day meals? Are you skipping any important food groups? Do you get hungry? Are you "netting" below your BMR? Are you staying at home so that nobody else can see you? Do you hate what you see in the mirror? Do you try to eat alone?

You should speak to your family and closest friends, and also to GP because if you do have unexplained weightloss then some physical conditions should be ruled out.

My guess is at you're perfectly fine and are just working out excessively for the amount of food you're eating. But I haven't taken a look at your diary and I don't know you in real life.

I am far from skinny, and far from being on the lower end of my normal BMI, but I have definitely gone beyond my expectations and wearing smaller clothes than I ever thought I would ever be wearing again. It turns out that I have always had a smaller frame than I ever thought hidden underneath so many fat layers.
Something similar might be happening to you!

Maybe you should get your muscle mass checked by a nutrition specialist and he/she will tell you if you truly are in a dangerous situation. BMI isn't the best indicator of your healthy weight/body composition.
If your muscle mass is ok and your fat percentage is in normal values and enough to keep your organs working right, and thhe specialistrules out any eating disorder then there's no need to worry.

    Best of luck!!!

I am 5'10" and I wore a 12 in high school at 145lbs (healthy BMI but underweight according to my doctor). I'm currently wearing a 10 and amost 50lbs heavier. Vanity sizes are ridiculous! I would go by your doctor's opinion or body fat numbers. At 145lbs you could count my ribs and see my backbone even though that number would be fine for most people my height. My doctor wanted me at 160-165lbs. I was very pear shaped then and carried my weight on my butt and thighs. Now I'm more hourglass shaped so am aiming for 170ish (I think this is a good weight for my shape and age). I will probably end up in a size 8 but it will still be bigger than the 12 I wore in high school 20+ years ago.

I think 106lbs at your height is reasonable. From your other responses, it seems like you are doing it healthy and that's what matters! Congratulations on your progress!

If you're really concerned then get a physical for a gut check. It sounds though like you're okay from the status you gave. Maybe you're just seriously shocked from looking in the mirror and not recognizing the person staring back at you?
