Don't give up! Slow and steady wins the race. Most of us wait a couple of weeks or more to see the scale budge even a few pounds. But progress can be tracked other ways - right now I'm using inches lost and how my clothes fit. I've only lost 5 pounds, but have lost four inches and am able to get into an old pair of jeans. So the scale isn't the only thing to gauge our progress by.
People keep telling me that this isn't a race and that really helps. If I do this patiently, the weight will come off, the clothes will fit again, and I will be healthier and able to keep my new, healthy body.
What are you eating and how much? Opening your diary (if you're using MFP's food tracker) can be a great help.0 -
how many calories are you eating a day0

For me, it helps to switch up what I'm doing...try some new exercises or (healthy) foods. I get tired of the same thing day in & day out so variety can make a difference. Having support from other people is also extremely helpful, trying working out with a friend.
Are you weighing yourself every day or just once a week? I tend to only weigh in once a week because you can fluctuate a couple pounds day to day. Sometimes it's just going to be frustrating where you'll do everything right but won't see immediate results. Believe me it's taken me a whole year to get as far as I have. Just be patient & stick to it!
Another random thought is to watch your sodium intake because if it's too high that can cause you to retain water.0 -
If you open your diary, people will be able to give you more useful responses.0

Open up your diary and we'll be able to see what's going on and give you better advice.

One week.......I've been at this for over 2 months and just a few days ago reached the 5 pounds lost mark. IT TAKES TIME.0

You asked for Idea or work out dvds.. I personally love Zumba, doesn't feel like a workout at all.. you can do the dvds at home or the Wii and even take a live class.
You never mentioned how much weight you want to lose, unless your majorly overweight like me you won't see the weight fall off as quickly.
As suggested take your measurements and track those also.0 -
hang in there! switching it up can help and make sure you're accurately taking into account of what you're eating...as in measure measure measure haha. Eyeballing can really hurt ur efforts0

Try the 17 day diet, works and you see results quickly as long as you honestly follow the diet. The book can be bought at walmart.0
