I don't think so, because weight depends on body composition - you can be smaller in size, and heavier in weight if you are muscular, than someone who has a similar weight and higher body fat.0

Why aren't you allowed to have a scale? Sounds suspious.
Weigh at the gym? At the Drs? chemist? Mall?0 -
Why won't your bf let you have a scale? No offense, but are you in recovery? If so, you probably should not try to 'game the system' by determining your weight in another way.
And no, there is no way to determine your weight without weighing yourself.0 -
I don't think you can guess. I have similar measurements to some women who are 30lbs lighter than I am. I weigh a lot more than I look like I do, no idea why! I work out a lot so have probably developed some muscle.
Anyway, it does sound strange that you're not allowed a scale!0 -
really?
get a new BF...that makes no sense whatsoever0 -
Um just go buy a scale.
I wonder at all the adults on this site who let other people control them.0 -

From your measurements you seem to be quite slender and unless you have ginormous tata's or an iron leg I seriously doubt your weight is skewed from what your stats insinuate. You sound just fine to me, if not a little too tiny based on your upper arms and your bust but if you are small frames I.e. petite then you are just fine.0

Ur tiny, I know tht much. 22in waist. I'm a bit jealous0
-
based on those numbers, unless you're only like 4'10", you're probably underweight.
You probably think you're "fat" and your boyfriend is probably just trying to save you by not wanting you to obsess.
I suggest seeking professional help for your dysmorphia and/or eating disorder if you haven't done so already.0 -

^^ This. Not knowing anything else, this is also my impression.0 -

Yeah, You are super skinny. Your upper arm is as big around as my wrist. I know I am fat. I know this because I can hide things under my fat roll and NOT SEE THEM AT ALL! I know that is a gross image but maybe that will give you a little perspective. If I were you I would go see a counselor I think you may see yourself as larger than you are. If your boyfriend is keeping the scale from you because he is worried about your health and wants you to be a healthy person then good for him. If he is just a controlling piece of poop drop him. Either way go see a counselor, you should in NO WAY be worried about being fat.0

How about just taking your measurements every so often and leaving it at that? Measurements are much more meaningful than scale weight anyway.0
-
No, but you can get body fat.0

I guess I don't understand why you aren't allowed to have a scale? Like a lot of people have said now, your weight can only be told by a scale.
If he doesn't want you to have a scale because of personal reasons, you can always go to a DR's office or a gym and weigh yourself there. Maybe he wants you to not pay attention to numbers but, pay attention to measurements. If that's the case, just base your progress on measurement. Measure yourself weekly and watch the inches drop as well.
Good luck!0 -

No need for a scale to know that by your measurements, you are a tiny person.0 -
Thanks for all of your replies. I am in recovery and my boyfriend is only trying to help. I simply want to know if I am at a healthy weight. But I guess as most of you have said, I cannot determine this from measurements alone. Since I am in recovery my doctor weighs me backwards so I can't see how much I weigh. Also I'm 5'6.0

Being a "healthy" weight isn't all about the number. It's more about if you feel healthy. You can be healthy at almost any weight. Do you have energy? Do you sleep well? Do you drink enough water and eat a well balanced diet? You could be a certain number without actually being healthy. I think you should focus on trying to feel better, not the numbers. Everything is relative. Your measurements may indicate something for someone else, but for you, it might be a huge step of success in your own personal journey. You and your recovery team are going to be able to estimate that better than anyone else. Try focusing on other goals and let them focus on the weight end.
Best of luck to you in your journey.0 -
Please forgive my ignorance, but why does being in recovery mean you can't know how much you weigh? And how long is this for that you can't know?0

I'd assume that she had an eating disorder, and numbers could throw off her recovery.
OP- do you feel that you are healthier now compared to before? You should, for sure, go by feelings as opposed to numbers.
I applaud your boyfriend for standing by you and helping!0 -
I can tell you right now from your measurement you aren't at a healthy weight. I'm proud of your boyfriend for not allowing you to have a scale if you are in recovery. Find a good doctor, get a nutritionalist and stop obsessing enough to fish around about it on MFP.0

I think my boyfriend and doctors are worried that If i have a scale I will start obsessing about numbers and relapse. This is a possibility; however, I have been in recovery for almost two years and am in a much better place emotionally. I really want to focus on maintaining my weight, not losing and certainly not gaining. I guess I can use my measurements to determine how I'm doing instead of a scale. Again, thank you all for your responses I really appreciate them.0

I'm seconding this gal. Keep working toward recovery.0 -
Does your Dr say you're at a healthy weight? I'm guessing the answer is no. I suspect you should be gaining weight still and I think you still need to work on your perception of healthy. I truly wish you luck in your recovery.
Is your avatar you? Do you keep it as a reminder of where you don't want to go? If either answer is no, you should really get rid of the photo.0
