New guy, getting back in shape

Hi all, I'm a newbie that's ready to get back to my fighting weight! I'm a 35 year old male that works in the graphic design/I.T. feild. A few years ago I was over 240lbs and I worked hard to drop the weight off. Sadly, due to life in general, I gained almost all the weight back. Now, I'm ready to shed this weight off.
This time I'm not alone! My wife is joining me on this adventure, so she'll be adding her account here soon.
I could use a few friends for support, advice and some tough love if I backslide.

This is a great place to get support and tons of information. Log everything u put in your mouth. Log in every day. Get moving. Set goals for yourself. Take photos and measurement to keep urself motivated. Get rest, listen to ur body, eat clean (fruits, veggis, whole grains and lean meats). Drink plenty of water don't waste time on other beverages. Look at other's diarys to see what works for them and what there eating. Try new foods. Eat the calories mfp provides u without going over and without being to far under. When u exercise u will be given more calories to eat. Some will say eat back, others will say don't. Eat if ur hungry don't if ur not. Good luck on ur journey. U can do it!0

Welcome to MFP! It definitely helps to have a supportive significant other.
Work out together, plan/prepare new healthy meals together. Find healthier substitutes for "junk foods" that you like. Don't deny all your cravings. Find a healthier substitute or eat just a smaller amount if you can. This is a lifestyle change after all.
