Numbers in my head mess me up

I've had a net loss of just over 60 pounds. That's a total loss of closer to 80 pounds. The difference is because every danged time I got below any number that ends in zero, I eased up and gained back a few pounds. When I first got down to 247, I put 4 pounds back on and had to struggle to lose it again. Then it was a quick zip to 238, again regaining a few pounds I had to lose again. Same thing from 228, from 218, and from 207.

Now that I have just five more to lose to be under 200, I want to break the pattern. No way do I want to get under 200 and immediately put it back on. What is it with those 10 pound marks that seem to give me permission to screw up? It's like my head tells me, "See, that was easy! And you don't want to deprive yourself ALL the time. Go ahead, buy some sourdough English muffins and this time eat just half a muffin. It won't really hurt." But then the other half looks so lonesome and it is just too easy to grab it and eat it. Please help me avoid doing this to myself this time.

Same thing happened to me when I first went below 200. I'm still struggling to hold on now that I'm back down to 197 lb. It is time to set a new mini goal to keep focused and keep losing.

Shameless bump to see if anyone has suggestions on avoiding the numbers trip wire.
