What is your favourite household chore?

I love ironing my husband's shirts.

I hate changing the cats' litter boxes

    I love doing dishes and vacuuming.

    I loathe mowing grass (though I will have a ridding lawn mower this season!) and dusting.

    Boy - you aren't kidding on the oxymoron..... Does cooking count as a chore? I do like to cook. But other than that I don't like to do housework period - and you can tell by the looks of my apartment right now. But I can say I would rather scrub toilets than dust or vacuum.

    I loathe vacuuming and doing dishes, but I don't mind cleaning the bathroom.

    I don't love doing the dishes, but it is my one chore related compulsion. I cannot have dirty dishes in the sink, it will make me crazy, seriously, I'll have a hard time sleeping if I know they are there. Every thing else can be a disaster, but my sink must be clean and dish free! ( I know I'm wacky, lol)

    Like - laundry, and yard work if it's nice out (mowing, raking, trimming bushes, weed-whacker, gardening, etc.)

    Hate - everything in the bathroom, vacuuming, and just about everything else!!!

    too bad we all aren't neighbors...I can see a chore swap happening....

    I will do jbrentlinger's lawn, he will do riveraphx's vacuuming, and she can clean my bathroom!!!!

    Everyone gets to one of their "likes" and gets one of their "hates" done FOR them!!!

    I love cooking - the rest.. phew when you would be able to look around here you would see i hate housework *lol* really i can't stand it, am a horrible housewoman and usually only do it when i know a month in advance that i am going to get visitors

    I have a sign in my kitchen: "I clean house every other day. This is NOT the other day.":laugh: :laugh: :laugh:

    The only thing I tolerate is laundry and cooking, which really isn't a chore to me.

    Everything else--PHOOEY!! And if anyone visted me, they would see that my house is living proof that I hate most housework. Can't seem to get my three doggies interested in helping--except for Hoover and Eureka--my two canine vacuum cleaners.:bigsmile:

    I love cleaning the kitchen, laundry, and vacuuming. And I love working outside on the lawn or in the garden.

    I HATE cleaning the bathrooms, dusting (because I can never seem to get all of the dust), and cleaning up cat hair.

    I love doing laundry (watching it swish around the washer is more exciting than TV to me!)

    I also hate cleaning the kitty litter.... I wish they'd make poopless cats. :laugh:

    I don't mind cleaning... laundry, dishes, bathrooms, vacuuming... no problem. I love to mow the lawn (hellooooo - great workout and instant gratification).

    I HATE pre-cleaning... ya know, putting stuff away, clearing off surfaces, picking up the 20 socks strewn across the family room, picking up dishes left everywhere. I don't like putting clothes away. If they could hop from the laundry basket into the drawers or into the closet... that'd be great. I also hate having to pick up dog poop before I mow...

    I don't mind doing the laundry. I hate cleaning the litter pan. Sometimes I pay my son $1.00 to clean it when it's my turn. :laugh:

    The poopless cat DOES exist,:noway: but they are not very popular as they are not very lively--don't move at all as a matter of fact. Lousy as pets, but great as figurines or statues !!:laugh: :laugh:

    A poopless cat....HAHA....that would be so great!

    Oh yeah, I forgot about the pre-cleaning. It is so time-consuming to put everything away just to start cleaning.

    my FAVORITE!!!! is grocery shopping. Is that a chore? I get all excited looking at the ads on mondays, then on Wednesday when the specials all start I make my rounds to the three stores (Safeway, Lucky, Costco). When I get home I arrange everything nicely in my pantry and fridge/freezer and sit back and admire it all, how nice it looks (all cans facing forward and organized) and how many choices for meals I have created. A well stocked pantry = security = happiness.

    I HATE vacuuming just like everybody, mainly because I have a weird old vacuum that breaks every time I use it, and I have to get out the screwdrivers and perform vacuum surgery before I can get finished. If it didn't break all the time it wouldn't bother me nearly as much.

    I have one of the Dyson vacumms, my hubby & i fight over who is going to vacuum. Best vacuum ever!!

    I love cleaning dishes and loading the dishwasher.
    I love unloading the dishwasher and putting the clean stuff away.

    I loathe unloading the dishwasher and then washing more and loading it back up to run again. The exact same 2 chores,,, but there's just something about doing both back to back that cheeses me off. :mad:

    I love cooking and cleaning up the kitchen, I love to do the dishes but I HATE emptying the dishwasher. don't know why. I hate all other house cleaning and rarely do it. the other chore I do but disdain is cleaning up the dog poop. with two large dogs and a small yard there is a lot of it to clean up. :indifferent:
