Loosing weight makes you look younger? Is it true?

I have always felt I look younger when I am lighter. I am 42 years and many people say I don't look that age. I feel if I loose weight I will look younger. Anybody else shares the same opinion?

I've been told that I look younger since losing wt. I think that I do look younger, too.

Honestly my fear was that I would look older as I lost weight, but so far I keep getting told I look younger.

I certainly FEEL younger when I'm not lugging around all that extra weight, and I think that goes hand in hand with looking younger.

I look like I turned the clock back 15 years with my weight loss.

When people my age (20s) lose weight, I don't think it makes them look younger. Just smaller.

However, when people my parents' age lose weight, I've noticed that they look older. They looked younger before because of the extra fat in their face. Now that they've lost weight, they look older because their wrinkles are more pronounced.
  • I'm almost 28 and people say I look 18 since I've lost weight. So I think it's true!

I think it depends on how much. If you lose a lot in the face some can look very tired and older.

    Definitely true!

I've been carded 3 times in the last year...which is really rediculous. I loved seeing their faces when they read my ID...and my friends reactions are priceless!

I'd say yes, and its probably not all to do with weight loss, its probably has a lot to do with just your overall health. Your working out and eating right, and getting healthy, it just makes you look better in general.

Yes, it's true generally. A lot of it has to do with how you carry yourself as well. If you're lighter, typically you're more confident, and carry yourself in higher esteem, which always makes you come across a little younger than you are. :)
