I am new to foam rolling and LOVE it! Before I was having knee pain when running and after doing squats/lunges. My boot camp leader explained it as a deep tissue massage that you give to yourself and it really is. When rolling I can feel the knots and feel them as they break away! I am now able to run pain free and only have a little stiffness/soreness after squats, etc. which dissipates by the end of the day!!!
What's your experience with foam rolling? Any tips you would like to share for a beginner?

My foam roller is a dog toy-I can't handle inflicting that kind of pain on myself. When I need a massage, I go to my massage guy-who does a way better job than the foam roller and only hurts 1/10 as much.
I am in awe of your pain threshold-anyone that can actually use a foam roller gets major marks in my book.0 -
