ALOT of people on here tell the people who are having trouble losing weight to start weight training. Now I know the reason why!!
I did my first set of push ups (wimpy cheaters on back of couch). My arms are so weak and sore I can hardly bare to lift the fork to my mouth. I push the plate away because it is just not worth the pain. Start weight training folks,, it works......

Nice.... but you are right! I started push ups last week and I hurt... But I noticed when I
did my push ups set last night that I really did not hurt afterward... Good thing...

LOL, that is about how I was when I first started doing push-ups and squats. I could barely do 10 and thought I would die. Now I am up to 65 push-ups, and by the end of it I still don't exactly want to raise my arms for a while.

I love lifting (heavy especially) but yesterday I tried something different. I did glute exercises for 30 minutes using body weight only. Heck, I am so sore today, I am walking round like I've been horseriding non stop for a week.

I do a lot of core work - like plank and then alternate with crunches at my three gym days. I also am doing chin ups, parallel grip pull ups and wide grim pull ups. After doing them I like to swagger - sometimes because I am proud but sometimes because I feel faint...

Yeah. what about that? What about when you get used to it and the pain goes away and it doesn't hurt the next day anymore? What about that?

ETA: what kind pain are we talkin here, muscle soreness or "oh man, i can't get outta bed pain lol...squats can hurt at first when you start out but eventually your propensity to bounce back speeds up
