I just started on myfitness, but have been working slowly on this for a few weeks now. After having knee surgery last Nov. and then quit smoking last month, I've gained several lbs. Now my goal is to lose them all.....and more.:smile:

    I wish you the best of luck! No matter what, don't pick up smoking again. I'm 9 years smoke free and its wonderful.

    Good luck to you...I know how hard it is to quit smoking and have the knee issues too...no surgeries yet..but I have just been delaying the inevitable...Glad to have you here!
  • Me too me too! I quit four months ago and love it. It inspired me to lose the fifteen pounds that has crept up on me over the last three years. My husband worked in a kitchen when we met so fed me heavy cream and buttery dishes as a way of wooing me. It worked! Truly. I know that since I conquered such an addictive habit that I can make all the other changes I need in order to be the most balanced healthier me. Hearing from you guys and everyone on this site is so motivating and inspiring. Thanks for sharing. Add me as a friend if you want so we can encourage each other through the rough patches.

  • Congrats on the quitting smoking! I quit 3 years ago, and it's the best thing I've ever done for myself. Much good luck on your next goal. If you quit smoking, you can do ANYthing!!

    Welcome to the site. Congratulations on stopping smoking, That is a difficult feat and a very healthy choice. Good luck with your weight loss goals. I am just in my second week here but have already found this to be a place with lots of supportive people and I'm sure you will find this site helpful as I have.

    I quit smoking 6 years ago and truly feel so much better. Good for you for quitting. This site is wonderful. You will find lots of support and tools to make your weight loss easier.
