clothes!

Last night I was invited to a small dinner party so I needed to get a little dressed up. I don't have any dress pants that fit anymore! They all just hang off of me, and one pair even threatened to fall off me even when fastened. I was much more comfortable in chinos anyway, and dressed them up with a nicer pair of shoes and a dressier blouse that I haven't been able to wear before.

I hear that! I went to a party on Friday night for work, had to borrow a dress from a friend who's always ben smaller than I, and then STILL had to belt and cinch it! Love losing the weight, but not a fan of not having things that fit.

Best feeling in the world! Take your favorites to the tailor to have them altered and THROW OUT THE REST!

Awesome NSV! As I lost weight and dropped 6 pant sizes...I would go out and buy 2-4 pairs of pants so that I could continue to go to work and look professional. Then when I finally got to my finally weight loss goal and the final size I wanted to be; even they were a little loose, so I took everything that was 3-6 sizes too big and gave them away and took the a few of the one size too big and downsized them. I kept a pair of jeans and two pairs of dress pants one size larger but everything else was altered or given to charity. I kept my two expensive suits and took them to a great suit tailor, so I've kept them only.

That is awesome, I too am finding that my clothes are falling off of me. It's a challenge getting ready for work but I prefer the challenge of clothes being too big than too small. Congratulations.

I have been picking up a few things at the 'second hand" store. One here is called Value Village and we have always jokingly called it The V V Boutique! There are lots of consignment and charity type stores where you can get slightly used clothing that still looks good. I started out in size 24 pants and now I am down to 16's. I'm going to be cleaning everything out of my closets and taking it to a charity outlet to be resold in support of Diabetes Research.
