I am looknig for any suggestions or advice on how to stick to a plan (any plan) while traveling. I just got off a two and a half hour flight. I was ravenous, and I am in a hotel that thankfully has fruit available. Any other suggestions on how to keep from eating like crazy if your job involves travel?

Bagel thins with a peanut butter/almond butter packed in a bag. Veggies washed, cut and bagged/boxed- carrots etc. Some of the protein bars in a pinch. Fat free or sugar free pudding- shelf not refrigerated. Trail mix- premeasured: I like Costco Natural Trail mix Coastal Berry. Grapes travel well.
When I know I am going, I find out where the grocery store is and get shelf items if there is no refrigerator. If there is, then hard boiled eggs are great. Also find Subway for salads or other places you would or could go when at home. Drink as much water as you can.
I travel alot for my job. Sometimes you just have to eat the burger, so no bun OR have the salad but keep the dressing away! If you can get in some cardio that helps! I speed walk in the airport, walk to the hotel if I can or walk in the neighborhood. If not, most fitness amenities are open 24, so get in that 30 minutes! It is not easy but you can do it or at least get close!!0 -
On my work trips I have been know to take small tins of pilchards or mackerel (they're easy to open) & wraps with me... for breakfast, the boiled eggs or if I have a kettle in my room, some instant porridge (oatmeal). I go find a store to get ham or some such for lunch. Dinner could be an omelette or fish or chicken with salad... oh, and don't forget the protein bar fall back. Plus they pack small.0
