Mopping the floor or pushing your vacuum cleaner burns calories. List them on your exercise list. I found that a 140 lb person burns 223 calories each hour mopping floors or vacuuming. There are many web sites to give this info for any activity.

    Well, I've grown fond of those commecials showing how to fit movement into your life, "Groove your body two times a day" and such. I find playing fast paced music (like a lot of the oldies) while I'm cleaning gets me to move. My roommate thinks I'm nuts but I dance while doing the dishes. :tongue:

    IT's true that it burns calories but I don't account for them in my exercise because they fall into my normal daily activities, besides, most people don't get their heart rate up scrubbing the toilet.........unless it's really gross:laugh:
